Facelift Photos - Case #2796

61 year old female, 5 feet 7 inches, 136 lbs who had previously undergone a facelift several years ago and noted the subtle return of signs of facial aging; slight drooping of the corners of the mouth, beginning return of the jowls, neck banding returning – left greater than right, loss of the width of the upper face and the V shape to the facial appearance and descent of the lateral brow. She requested facial plastic surgery to rejuvenate her facial appearance. She underwent a short scar vertical facelift with SMAS plication and a small temporal incision extension to raise the lateral brow. Post operative photos were taken 4 months after her facelift and show facial rejuvenation by raising the corners of the mouth, straightening of the jaw line by smoothing the jowl, improvement of the neck contour with correction of the neck bands, creating a more V shaped face by accentuating the cheek bones while straightening the jaw line and raising the lateral brow. Creating a vertical vector in her face lift allowed subtle facial rejuvenation while maintaining her beautiful facial contours.
